I think this quote holds a lot of truth, but if I had known Mr. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow while he was alive, I might have suggested that perhaps he put on a raincoat or carry an umbrella. Yes, it’s impossible to stop the rain, but we can certainly brace ourselves for it – or at least enjoy stomping in the puddles!
